the ask.
To make an informational motion-graphics piece. The Voyager golden record instantly came to mind –– endless exploration though space, and the unwavering human spirit as a golden, bright light in the void. I felt like I could work with those themes.
the solution.
I originally went in a very different direction, one inspired by old astronomical textbooks. However, since Voyager is still out there, now and forever, I wanted to take this down a more graphic, and almost futuristic path. I wanted it to feel timeless. To remind all of us that humanity will forever be reaching a hand out into the dark.
